Wooncentrum Kastanjeflat is located in oud-Amstelveen near the Amsterdamse Bos and water area De Poel and was built in 1991. The residential centre consists of 11 two- and 73 three-room houses spread over the ground floor and five floors. There are two elevators available. In the Chestnut Flat you can make use of various facilities such as a games room, service center, library, hair salon, masseuse, beautician and pedicure. A resident consultant works in the residential centre.

There are two types of dwellings. The average area of the houses is 64 m². The houses have no thresholds and are wheelchair accessible.
