Ouderkerk aan de Amstel is a rustic and historic village, under the smoke of Amsterdam. The village core consists of a rich culture well with among other things historical churches and the Jewish cemetery place. In addition, there are cosy restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious meal and shops for your daily groceries. Ouderkerk is located in a natural area with nice recreation possibilities such as water fun at the Ouderkerker Plas, cycling through the polder of the round Hoep or walking along the Amstel.

Behind the modern town hall lies the complex De Drieburg. Near the complex is a small park that has recently been completely refurbished and where you can take a lovely walk. Next to the complex is the coherent services centre where you can participate in activities such as course balls, clover jackets or billiards. A restaurant evening is also organized every week, where you can enjoy a meal together with other neighbourhood residents.
